Artists’ initiative: De Service Garage

De Service Garage is a cultural platform initiated by the artists Frank Ammerlaan and Thijs Rhijnsburger in Amsterdam in December 2007. The exhibition space, in a former garage, is 475 m2. There are twelve studios for artists and one studio for an artist in residence. De Service Garage is one of the most lively artist-run project spaces in Amsterdam, where upcoming and established artists meet and collaborate by participating in De Service Garage activities as exhibitions, lectures, workshops and parties.
